Allegany Dental Care has been providing Family Dental Care for Washington County MD and the surrounding areas for over 30 years. Our Doctors and Staff are committed to providing Quality Dentistry for our family of patients.
We stress Preventive Dental Care and the positive benefits of maintaining good dental health for a lifetime.
While
our Practice consists of six Dentists, our patients have
their choice of provider, and are seen by that same Dentist
on a regular basis.
Dental cleanings are done by one of our
Registered Dental Hygienists, under the doctor's supervision.
Orthodontic
treatment (braces) for both children and adults is offered
in our Virginia Avenue office by our experienced
Orthodontic Specialist, Dr. Paul Frazier, as part of our firm commitment to
total family care.
Patients are seen by appointment only to
allow the proper amount of time to treat each individual.
We
require a 24 hour notice if an appointed time must be changed,
since time has been reserved specifically for your treatment.
We
recommend that all of our patients visit the office for a
dental cleaning and exam at least each six months. Emergencies
Any patient of record with an emergency during
office hours will be able to see a doctor the same day.
For
an emergency after hours, call the office number, and the
answering service will contact the doctor on call.
Fees
and Insurance
Our patients deserve and receive high quality dental care.
We strive to keep our fees reasonable, while maintaining our standard of
excellence in staff,
training, materials, facilities, and service to our patients.
Payment is
expected at the time of the visit, unless specific arrangements
have been made.
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express
are accepted, in addition to cash and personal checks.
For
General Dentistry patients with dental insurance, payment
in full is expected at the first visit. At subsequent visits,
our office will gladly file your insurance form for you,
accept payments on your behalf, and provide your insurance
company
with all the information necessary for payment. However,
we cannot be responsible for your insurance company's action
on
your claim.
New Orthodontic patients receive a complimentary
initial examination and consultation. Diagnostic Records,
Treatment Plans and Financial
Arrangements are then completed prior to beginning Orthodontic
Treatment. Patients with insurance should present their insurance
card at the initial visit. We recommend that patients call
their insurance company directly to verify Orthodontic benefits.
Our office does not generally accept direct payment form
Insurance Companies for Orthodontics, but we will assist
you in obtaining
your Orthodontic benefits.
If your insurance plan is an HMO,
a PPO, or pays different benefits for "in-network" and "out-of-network" dentists,
it is your responsibility to verify whether or not our office
is part of your network. Most insurance cards list a toll-free
number to call to locate providers in your area.
All fees for
any restorative treatment will be discussed with you in
advance.
New Patients
New patients are presently being accepted. We welcome your
friends and relatives, and appreciate referrals. Your first visit is normally a consultation with the doctor
to determine your individual needs and to answer any questions
you may have. Diagnostic x-rays may be taken at this visit,
and if you have requested it, the hygienist may also clean
your teeth.
