Allegany Dental Care's Ongoing Commitment to Community Involvement

The activities we participated in or sponsored recently include:

We supported National Children's Dental Health Month by joining with the public and private schools in Washington County to conduct a poster contest for second graders. Using the theme "There's Magic in Your Smile" the children were asked to draw a picture to express their thoughts and feelings. Winners were selected from each participating school.
Our Doctors and their wives supported the YMCA by attending the "Tuscany Gala" fundraiser held at Fountain Head Country Club. This is an annual fund raiser for the YMCA that we have attended for over ten years.

We supported the Annual Food Drive to help restock the shelves at Food Resources by making all 3 offices collection sites for donations.
"Wear Pink for a Cause" Days - Each month the staff donates a nominal fee to wear pink in lieu of their normal uniform. In October 2008, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we donated monies raised to the Breast Cancer Awareness -Cumberland Valley organization.

Our Doctors and staff braved the cold weather to ring the bell for the Salvation Army Collection Center during the holiday season at the Long Meadow Shopping Center.
Our practice partnered with Toys for Tots to make our three offices drop-off locations for toy donations.
With scissors and tape in hand, our staff had fun wrapping packages at the Valley Mall during the holiday season to raise funds for the local chapter of The American Red Cross.
