Bridges are dental restorations that are designed to replace missing teeth. Like crowns, some bridges are a means of protecting teeth with larger fillings while at the same time closing spaces created by tooth loss.
Bridges are “fixed”, meaning that they stay on your teeth, versus being removable like a partial denture. Further, bridges tend to have superior esthetics compared to partial dentures, with no unsightly metal clasps, and are much more comfortable, as well.
Your dentist can help you determine if a bridge would be an appropriate solution to your missing tooth problem. |
