Business Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling patients
- Registering patients when they arrive for their appointment
- Charging patients out after their appointment
- Answering telephones
- Coordinating care with dental specialists
- Coordinating dental insurance benefits
- Working closely with the Doctors and clinical staff to maintain an efficient office
Qualifications:
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and manner
- Computer literacy
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
- Or at least 2 years of dental/medical office experience
Dental Hygienist
Responsibilities:
- Performing dental prophylaxis and/or non-surgical periodontal care as prescribed by the Doctor
- Educating our patients with appropriate educational information concerning proper oral hygiene
- Taking appropriate radiographs at intervals determined by office policy and as instructed by the Doctor
- Updating patient?s medical and clinical data in the computer system
- Maintaining dental instruments and a stocked operatory
- Assisting front desk with scheduling hygiene appointments
- Sterilizing and distributing hygiene instruments
Qualifications:
- A current Maryland Dental Hygienist License
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and institutional regulations and guidelines for providing outpatient dental services
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and manner
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
- Ability to work independently while functioning as a team member
Dental Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Having understanding of dental procedures and using that knowledge to assist the Doctor
- Preparing the operatory for treatment to be rendered and having necessary instruments and supplies available for the Doctor
- Taking dental radiographs as directed by the Doctor
- Disinfecting operatories and setting up for the next procedure
- Preparing lab cases and logging them once they arrive
- Maintaining a disinfected and properly stocked operatory
- Working within MOSH/OSHA guidelines and regulations
- Maintaining proper clinical notes in the patient?s record where appropriate
- Communicating effectively with the patient about procedures and aftercare instructions
Qualifications:
- A current License as a Qualified Dental Assistant (QDA) through the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
- A current Radiology License through the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and manner
- Ability to work independently while functioning as a team member
